If you can’t find Centre County on a map, you’re forgiven. It’s better known as Happy Valley—home to Penn State University, a bunch of uniquely charming towns, and all the nature your trail boots can handle. In short, it’s a place where adventure happens, which is why we rebranded them from the Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau to the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau. Equal parts whimsy and serious business.
And the thing is, if you’ve seen one tourism ad, you’ve seen them all. So rather than stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to (what up, TLC), we decided to do something a little different. Enter Agents Chipper and Friendly. They take their fun very seriously… so if you find yourself not having a good time, and you hear a knock at the door? It’s just our trusty agents helping put a magical place on the map.
We started with scrapping their old logo in favor of a much, much nicer one…
Then, we partnered with an illustrator to create a series of print ads that help inspire a sense of limitless adventure.
The branding then extended to all those materials a tourism brand needs… from the brochure that sits in the hotel lobby to postcards to help share your travels.
